Pecos is a regional commercial center for ranching, agriculture, and oil & gas production. In fact, the city appeared in the Forbes 400 in 2012 as the second fastest small town in the country. Pecos has another claim to fame – the city was home to the world’s first rodeo, on July 4, 1883. And it is important to WTNB's heritage too – we opened our first bank here in 1907.
